Motor malfunctions
The following table shows fault diagnostics options for malfunctions of the motor:
Fault | Possible cause | Measure |
|---|---|---|
Motor at standstill, will not start | Motor terminal or function module not active | Set ENABLE signal and activate motor. Terminal or function module |
Overload | Check load and reduce if necessary. Then restart and enable the motor terminal or the function module. Set ENABLE signal. | |
Phase interruption in the power supply system or offset motor phases | Check motor terminal, function module, power cable and encoder cable/signal cable. Replace defective cables. | |
Short circuit or earth fault in the power cable | Replace defective power cable, then measure and check. | |
Motor sluggish
