Installing an ESI file

To ensure that the modules are integrated correctly in the IEC Editor, their ESI file must be installed in the IEC Editor for MOVISUITE® older than version 2.22.

You can download the required ESI files from the SEW-EURODRIVE website (www.sew‑eurodrive.com).

  • You have downloaded and unzipped the latest ESI file.
  • The IEC Editor is open.
  1. Click the menu item [Tools] > [Device repository…].
    • The "Device repository" window opens.
  2. Click [Install…].
  3. Select the downloaded and unzipped ESI file.
    • The installation starts automatically.
  4. Click [Close].
  • The ESI file has been installed.
