Overview of the safety options
In the device, the STO safety sub-function is always available and can be extended with the following 3 safety options.
- MOVISAFE® CSB51A safety option
- The MOVISAFE® CSB51A safety option provides the STO and SS1-t safety sub-functions. The functions can be controlled via safe communication.
- Safety option MOVISAFE® CSL51A
- The safety option MOVISAFE® CSL51A provides the safety sub-functions STO and SS1-t. When using a safe built-in encoder, the safety sub-functions SS1-r, SLS, SSM and SDI are available for motion monitoring. The functions can be controlled via safe communication and safe digital inputs.
- Safety option MOVISAFE® CSS51A
- The safety option MOVISAFE® CSS51A provides the safety sub-functions STO and SS1-t. When using a safe motor encoder with MOVILINK® DDI, the safety sub-functions SS1-r, SS2, SOS, SLS, SSM, SSR, SLA, SLI and SDI are available for motion monitoring. The EI7C FS safe built-in encoder is also supported. The safety sub-functions can be controlled via safe communication and safe digital inputs.
The PROFIsafe and Safety over EtherCAT® profiles are available for safe communication.
The described safety technology of the device (STO safety sub-function and MOVISAFE® CS..A safety options) has been developed and tested according to the following safety requirements:
- SIL 3 according to EN 61800-5-2, EN 61508
- PL e according to EN ISO 13849‑1
This was certified by TÜV Rheinland. A copy of the TÜV certificate can be requested from SEW-EURODRIVE.
