Installation requirements
Check that the following conditions have been met:
- The data on the nameplate of the drive matches the application.
- The drive is undamaged (no damage caused by transportation or storage).
- The ambient temperature corresponds to the nameplate in chapter Example nameplate and type designation of the drive unit and chapter Technical data.
- The drives must not be installed in the following ambient conditions:
- Potentially explosive atmosphere
- Oils
- Acids
- Gases
- Vapors
- Radiation
- Clean the output shafts and flange surfaces thoroughly to ensure that they are free of anti-corrosion agents, dirt, or the like. Use a commercially available solvent. Do not let the solvent come into contact with the sealing lips of the oil seals – damage to the material.
