Device replacement

CAUTION

Risk of injury from arcing during a high-energy discharge (between two conductive metals).
Minor injuries.
  • Make sure control cabinets are kept closed unless electrical components are de-energized.
  • Disconnect any energy storage units such as accumulators from the electronics. Observe the measures for shutdown of the products used.
  • Switch off other voltage sources.
  • Before switching on the product, make sure that the protective cover is in place over the connections.
  • Ensure that the product is insulated as far as possible and that no conductive foreign bodies can penetrate.

CAUTION

Risk of burns due to hot surfaces.
Injury.
  • Let the product cool down before touching it.

INFORMATION

Replace the SCM decentralized controller only with a product with the same type designation.
  • You are familiar with all safety and warning information.
  1. Make sure that the product is de-energized, see chapter Connecting or disconnecting plug connectors.
  2. Remove all connection plugs.
  3. Remove the protective cover by loosening the 2 × M3 screws.
  4. Remove the supply cable or the copper rails.
  5. Loosen the screws that secure the product to the mounting surface.
  6. Install the new product, see chapter Installing the device.
  7. Connect the supply cable, see chapter Connecting a supply cable.
  8. Connect the connector plugs.
  9. Supply the product with voltage.
  10. Start up the product.
