Example – Deactivation of potentiometer f1

If potentiometer f1 is deactivated for setpoint input, the respective substitute value will be used automatically as the setpoint. The substitute value can be set exactly via another parameter access.

Mechanical setting elements (potentiometers, DIP switches, etc.) are deactivated within a parameter bit by bit. The parameter must first be read out, then the corresponding bit must be set and then the changed parameter value must be written again. Otherwise, settings that have already been deactivated will be reactivated. Some bits of the parameter are set to "Reserved" in the firmware and must not be changed (see chapter Example – Invalid parameter value).

INFORMATION

If multiple mechanical setting elements are to be deactivated, all of the mechanical setting elements can be deactivated in one write operation.
