Controlling the top drive for deflecting the tower

The position controller is deactivated during operation of the top drive. This means that a lag error is no longer monitored. The instructions described in the following are used for startup purposes or for deliberately deflecting the tower to correctly scale the analog values of the strain gage or to check the scaling.

  1. Deactivate the MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController (bit 8) in the default operating mode (0). See also chapter Deactivating MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController (bit 8).
  2. In the MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController control word, deactivate the LowerDrive (bit 1 "deactivate axis 1"). See also chapter Deactivating axes (bits 0 to 3).
    • The TopDrive can now be moved in jog mode (100) in manual mode.
