Decimal places of the measured variable
Depending on the type of the selected touchprobe source, the measured variable is output with or without decimal places. The decimal places used are determined during runtime of the IEC program when activating the touchprobe function (set xActivate to TRUE).
The following table shows which decimal places are used:
Touchprobe source | Data source | Decimal places |
---|---|---|
Inverter | Actual position | – |
Actual position | Decimal places of the encoder used for position control (is read from configuration data) | |
Actual position in user units – Modulo | Decimal places of the encoder used for position control (is read from configuration data) | |
Encoder 1 – Actual position in system units | – | |
Encoder 1 – Actual position in user units | Decimal places encoder 1 (is read from inverter) | |
Encoder 1 – Actual position in user units – modulo | Decimal places encoder 1 (is read from inverter) | |
Encoder 2 – Actual position in system units | – | |
Encoder 2 – Actual position in user units | Decimal places encoder 2 (is read from inverter) | |
Encoder 2 – Actual position in user units – modulo | Decimal places encoder 2 (is read from inverter, data source only permitted for single axes!) | |
PO data word x |

System time low-part | – | |
Configured axis | PO data word 13 | Decimal places of the selected touchprobe axis |
User program |
| Configured decimal places of the signal provided by the user (uiUserProgramSetpointDecimalPlaces) |
