Touchprobe (TouchProbe)

This function is not available for virtual axes.

The "Touchprobe" function is used to determine the value of a measured variable at a defined point in time as exactly as possible. The measured variable can be, for example, the current motor position or any signal sent about the process data. The defined event is a switch of signal to a digital input of the inverter.

Configuration

To use the touchprobe function, the following steps are initially required:

• Activate the Touchprobe function in MOVISUITE^®
• For further information, refer to the chapter Basic settings.
• Configure the touchprobe function in MOVISUITE^®
• For further information, refer to the chapter Touchprobe 1.
• Initialize the touchprobe source in the SEW_PRG.Init action
• Depending on the Touchprobe source, additions in the IEC program may be necessary.
