As an example, this document describes the startup of a MOVIDRIVE^® technology application inverter with the PROFINET/PROFIsafe fieldbus interface on a higher-level programmable logic controller (PLC) from Siemens. For control via the PROFINET fieldbus interface, the CFN21A fieldbus card is installed in the inverter.

The startup of the other inverters in the MOVI‑C^® modular automation system is performed in the same way.
