Extended diagnostics by PROFINET alarm

The "Gateway Solution" application supports the function of the PROFINET alarm. If an error is detected on an axis, the corresponding error message is sent to the PLC by the PROFINET alarm.

In MOVISUITE^®, you can see the errors in plain text with corresponding troubleshooting options.

Example

In the following example, axis 3 reports error E29.01 "Positive hardware limit switch hit".

In the engineering tool of the PLC, e.g. TIA Portal, the error is displayed in the corresponding slot.

Double-clicking the red "Error icon" displays detailed information on the "Diagnostic status" page.
