Installing Windows on the MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER
Observe the following notes for installation:
- The Windows part of the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER must be in the delivery state. If this is not the case, loading a recovery image is recommended.
- The initial boot process of the OMW CFast memory card must be performed without interruption and until it has been completed. Interrupting the voltage supply to the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER during the boot process can lead to damage to the Windows image.
- The installation cannot be performed via the Remote Desktop access. You require external input/output devices (monitor, keyboard, mouse) connected to the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER for installing Windows.
- The keyboard layout is set to "US" by default during installation. To avoid incorrect entries during the installation of Windows, select the appropriate layout for your keyboard when prompted for the "keyboard layout".
For installation, perform the following steps:
- The external input/output units are connected to the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER.
- Switch on the voltage supply at the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER.
- The monitor connected to the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER displays the start screen of the Windows installation.
- Follow the displayed installation instructions. After the settings for the region have been made and the license conditions accepted, it is possible to make personalized operating system settings. Here, deactivate all services that are not required (recommended).
- Finally, create a user. The following user data was used for the descriptions in this document. Use a secure password when creating a user on your system:
- User: sew
- Password: sewsewsew
- Password note: 3 x sew
- After the user registration has been confirmed, the Windows setup is completed (duration: approx. 2 minutes).
- The Windows operating system is then ready for use and can be used on the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER.
