Diameter acquisition
The following options are available for acquiring the current diameter of the coil:
- Computer
- The diameter is calculated via the speed ratio of the master drive or measuring wheel and winding drive. Any fluctuations in terms of diameter depend on the quality of the speed acquisition. Such fluctuations can be smoothed with a filter.
- Layer counter
- The diameter results from the thickness of the material and the number of windings and is virtually free of fluctuations. The accuracy of the diameter depends on the accuracy of the material thickness entered and on how much the material compresses or expands during winding.
- Distance sensor
- The diameter is determined by measuring the distance between the sensor and the coil.
