Configuring project components

  • The required devices and software modules have been added to the MOVISUITE® project. See Creating a project.
  1. In the configuration of the MOVIRUN® smart, open the configuration menu "Startup of MOVIRUN® smart".
    • A tabular overview of all components included in the project is displayed.
  2. In the row of the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER, click the [Fieldbus interface] button in the "Startup" column and configure the fieldbus interface using the displayed menu.
  3. Start up all other components contained in the project using the corresponding startup assistants (buttons in the "Startup" column). For notes on the parameters of the software module, refer to chapter Configuration.
  4. In the tabular overview of the components, specify the respective start addresses of the process data ("PD address" column) by manually transferring them from the higher-level controller or by clicking the [Calculate PD addresses] button for automatic calculation. Make sure that the process data assignment matches the process data slots in the higher-level controller because they are subject to a fixed grid (with gaps "Padding").
  5. In the tabular overview of the components in the columns "Cycle time HighPriority Task" and "Setpoint cycle time", check whether values for the cycle times (see "Configuration notes", if applicable) match the configured project. If necessary, adjust the set cycle times according to the implemented application (number of axes, software modules used, and visualizations).
