Energy storage unit

Parameter group

Description

Energy storage unit

DC connection to energy storage unit separable

The energy storage unit can be disconnected from the DC link or the connected device on all poles via a corresponding contactor or load-break switch circuit.

Default value: No

Storage connection type

Selection of how the connectable energy storage unit is connected.

Default value: Active DC synchronization

Use braking resistor for synchronization

INFORMATION: A braking resistor can only be connected to MDP92A.

Use a braking resistor to reduce the DC link voltage when adjusting the voltages and during the charging test. Storage synchronization can in this way be significantly accelerated or, if a permanently installed MDC90A capacitor module is used, made possible at all.

Default value: Yes

Electrostatic nominal capacity

Capacitance of the connectable energy storage unit. Only visible if "DC connection energy storage unit separable" has the value "Yes".

Default value: 0 F

Output stage side

Side of the output stage to which the electrostatic nominal capacitance is connected. Only visible if "DC connection energy storage unit separable" has the value "Yes".

Default value: B-side

Determination of resistance

Type of resistance determination regarding the internal resistance of the storage unit

Default value: Internal calculation

Internal resistance

Internal resistance of the disconnectable energy storage unit. (Only visible if the "Determination of resistance" parameter is set to "User-defined values".)

Default value: 0 mOhm

Capacitance application fixed (A-side)

Capacitance of permanently installed energy storage units on the A‑side of the output stage.

Default value: 0 mF

Capacitance application fixed (B-side)

Capacitance of permanently installed energy storage units on the B‑side of the output stage. This option is only available when using MDE90A.

Default value: 0 mF

Fuse protection

INFORMATION: The parameterized voltage limits are applied to the storage side. If the energy storage unit is connected to the A‑side, the limits apply to the DC link. If the storage unit is connected to the B‑side, the limits apply to the B‑side.

Fuse protection – activate

Activate or deactivate fuse protection function.

Default value: No

Fuse protection – type of fuse protection

Select the type of fuse protection function. With the single-stage and multi-stage fuse concept, the current is limited in the charging phase. In the multi-stage fuse protection concept, the secondary fuse is additionally activated or deactivated.

Default value: Multi-stage fuse concept

Fuse protection – switching threshold current limitation OFF

Threshold at which the fuse bypass relay is closed and current limiting is deactivated.

Default value: 0 V

Fuse protection – switching threshold current limitation ON

Threshold below which the fuse bypass relay is opened and current limiting is activated.

Default value: 0 V

Fuse protection – fuse rating

A permanent load capacity of the fuse of 80% of the nominal value is assumed and applied accordingly as a limit.

Default value: 0 A

Modular RCD

MRCD installed

Activates the control and monitoring functions of an installed MRCD.

Default value: No

MRCD test interval

An MRCD test cycle must be performed within this time. Otherwise, a warning message appears stating that a test must be performed.

Default value: 180 d
