State of charge control

You will usually receive the values to be configured here during project planning.

Parameter group

Description

Boost charging power

Enable boost mode

To control the boost mode via the software module, the boost mode must first be enabled here.

Default value: Off

Voltage limits

Maximum

  • Application limit – maximum voltage A-side in [V]
  • Default value: 0.0 V
  • Application limit – maximum voltage B‑side in [V] (only configurable with MDE90A; otherwise read-only)
  • Default value: 0.0 V

Minimum

  • Application limit – minimum voltage A-side in [V]
  • Default value: 0.0 V
  • Application limit – minimum voltage B‑side in [V] (only configurable with MDE90A; otherwise read-only)
  • Default value: 0.0 V

Current direction-dependent limitation

B → A

  • Application limit – positive current A-side in [A]
  • Default value: 0.00 A
  • Application limit – positive current B‑side in [A]
(only configurable with MDE90A; otherwise read-only)
  • Default value: 0.00 A
  • Setting the application limit B-->A in [kW]
  • Default value: 0 kW

A → B

  • Application limit – negative current A‑side in [A]
(only configurable with MDE90A; otherwise read-only)
  • Default value: 0.00 A
  • Application limit – negative current B‑side in [A]
  • Default value: 0.00 A
  • Setting the application limit A-->B in [kW]
(only configurable with MDE90A; other than this read-only)
  • Default value: 0 kW

State of charge control

Maximum voltage – operating range A‑side

Upper limit of the operating range of the state of charge control on the A-side (defined as 100% of the state of charge of the A-side)

Default value (each): 0 V

Maximum voltage – operating range B-side

INFORMATION: Only available with MDE90A.

Upper limit of the operating range of the state of charge control on the B-side (defined as 100% of the state of charge of the B-side)

Default value (each): 0 V

Minimum voltage – operating range A‑side

Lower limit of the operating range of the state of charge control on the A-side (defined as 0% of the state of charge of the A-side)

If control of the boost mode is enabled via the software module, the boost mode becomes active from the voltage "Minimum voltage – operating range A/B" (depending on the selected control side of the output stage).

Default value (each): 0 V

Minimum voltage – operating range B-side

INFORMATION: Only available with MDE90A.

Lower limit of the operating range of the state of charge control on the B-side (defined as 0% of the state of charge of the B-side)

If control of the boost mode is enabled via the software module, the boost mode becomes active from the voltage "Minimum voltage – operating range A/B" (depending on the selected control side of the output stage).

Default value (each): 0 V

Lower limit DC link voltage – axis operation

The connected axes can be operated above this voltage. However, the value must be below the operating range.

Default value (each): 0 V

Lower limit DC link voltage – backup mode

Operation of the 24 V supply from the DC link is possible in case of a power failure up to this DC link voltage. The value must be below the "Voltage limit axis operation" value.

Default value (each): 0 V

Activate automatic recuperation detection

Recuperation detection in "State of charge control" operating mode is activated and inhibits the supply if regenerative energy is fed back from the connected axes.

Further configuration steps are necessary to fully use the function. See Recuperation detection.

Default value: No
