Asynchronous motors
The nameplate data of the motor must be entered during startup:
- Nominal motor speed
- Nominal motor frequency
- Nominal motor voltage
- Nominal motor current
- Power factor cos φ
- Nominal motor power
- Optional: Mass moment of inertiaEstimated during startup, if not specified.
The parameters required for startup are calculated based on the nameplate data and the motor is taken into operation.
SEW-EURODRIVE recommends also performing a parameter measurement with FCB 25 to achieve improved control performance. This determines the equivalent wiring diagram data of the motor. The duration of the measurement depends on the motor parameters. In the case of asynchronous motors, the measurement is carried out in an idle state. If a brake is present, it remains closed.
