VFCPLUS
SEW-EURODRIVE recommends using the following settings and control behavior in lifting applications with the VFCPLUS control mode (without encoder):
Parameter settings for asynchronous motors:
- For hoists, use the stop by setpoint function (FCB 05 - speed control). Functions > Drive functions > FCB 05 Speed control > Stop by setpoint function > Activation = "1" (Yes).
- Set the parameter Functions > Drive functions > FCB 05 Speed control > Stop by setpoint function > Stop setpoint so that the resulting motor speed is ≥ 1.5 × nominal slip of the motor.
- As an alternative, set the parameter Functions > Drive functions > FCB 05 Speed control > Minimum speed so that the resulting motor speed is ≥ 1.5 × nominal slip of the motor.
- Set the parameter Drive train > Drive train ASx > Controller > Control mode > Flying start = "0" (Off).
- Set the parameter Drive train > Drive train ASx > Controller > Control mode > Flux optimization = "0" (Off).
- Set the parameter Drive train > Drive train ASx > Controller > Control mode > Braking operation = "4Q" (motor + generator mode).
- Set the parameter Drive train > Optimization ASx > VFCplus > Boost = 10%.
Control behavior for asynchronous motors:
- Design the control in such a way that a direction of rotation reversal is only possible in an idle state (with the brake applied).
- If you want to change the direction of rotation without an idle state, use a drive with encoder.
- Control the drive at a setpoint speed that corresponds to a speed ≥ 1.5 × nominal slip of the motor.
Parameter settings for synchronous reluctance motors:
- Set the parameter Drive train > Drive train ASx > Controller > Control mode > Flying start = "0" (Off).
- Set the parameter Drive train > Drive train ASx > Controller > Control mode > Flux optimization = "1" (Off).
- Set the parameter Drive train > Drive train ASx > Controller > Control mode > Braking operation = "4Q" (motor + generator mode).
Control behavior for synchronous reluctance motors:
