Configuring the drive train

The configuration of axis group members that have, for example, been created as MultiMotion axes must meet the following requirements for starting up the software module:

  • The MultiMotion axes belonging to the software module must have the same user unit. Furthermore, the effective direction in relation to the application must be the same for both axis group members.
  • The speed must be specified per second (e.g. m/s), and the acceleration per square second (e.g. m/s²).
  • The MultiMotion axes belonging to the software module must have identical path references for position, speed, and acceleration.
  • CORRECT: mm, mm/s, mm/s2
  • FALSE: mm, rev/min, degrees/s/min
  • INFORMATION: If the application does not allow this setting, contact SEW‑EURODRIVE.
