IT security is a key element of SEW-EURODRIVE’s product development. Since the web app is used in industrial environments, high standards apply with regard to the security of the software, the data, and the entire system architecture. Proven standards and regulatory requirements such as the NIS 2 Directive and the IEC 62443 standard as well as established security frameworks and best practices served as a guide.

The security strategy includes measures for risk minimization, protection against cyber attacks, and the continuous improvement of the software architecture and security architecture throughout the entire life cycle of the product.
