Creating a license request file and copying it to the engineering PC

  1. Switch to the IEC Editor and run one of the following commands in the "PLC Shell" tab to create a license request file for your HWID. When doing this, replace "HWID" with the HWID which you have noted down. You can optionally specify the file name for the license request file during creation. If the required file name is to include spaces, these must be enclosed in quotes.
    sewlicmgr create LicenseFile HWID or
    sewlicmgr create LicenseFile HWID Meine_Lizenz-Request-Datei.xml
    • The license request file has been created.
  2. Switch to the "Files" tab.
  3. Copy the created license request file from the "data" directory on the visualization device to your engineering PC.
