Activation without supply system connection

The presence of the power supply system is a prerequisite for storage unit synchronization. If it is necessary to start the application without the power supply system present, provide a braking resistor in the negative wire of the storage unit connection. This braking resistor acts as an inrush current limiter.

The switched side is pre-charged via this braking resistor. When pre-charging is complete, the braking resistor is bridged by the DC contactor. The entire process is monitored and controlled using the measuring line at the "-ES" connection. The settings for inrush current limitation in the respective MOVIKIT^® software module can be found in the corresponding MOVIKIT^® manuals.

Use the braking resistor of type BW004-001 with part number 25766058 for pre-charging.

The braking resistor makes it possible to supply an MDS90A.. switched-mode power supply module with AC and DC power even during the pre-charging phase.
