Backup and restore | |
[Save settings] | Save the program configuration or components of it to a file. The following cleanup steps can also be performed during the data backup:

[Restore settings] | Restore the program configuration or components of it from a file. The current program configurations are overwritten and the new ones are applied. See also Program configuration. |
Local backup | |
Backup interval | Set the interval at which data should be backed up. |
[Save data now] button | Manually initiate a data backup that is executed immediately. |
Local backup path | Specify the local storage location where a copy of the configuration is to be saved at the set interval. To do so, manually enter the path in the field or click the [Change] button and navigate to the desired storage location in the file browser. INFORMATION: The selected storage location must not request authentication. |
Archiving period | Set how long the configuration is stored locally. The files will be deleted automatically at the end of the specified period. Changes to this setting are only applied when the software is restarted. |
Remote backup | |
Backup interval | Set the interval at which data should be backed up. |

Endpoints, where to store backups | Select one of the configured endpoints as the storage location for the data backup. |
Relative remote path on endpoint | Specify the relative path to select the subdirectory for backing up data to the endpoint. |

Automatically load presets from preset folder on startup. | Enable the automatic loading of all configuration files (e.g. exported groups, containers, endpoints) from the preset folder (default path: INFORMATION: Objects contained in the current program configuration (e.g. data containers and endpoints) with the same ID are overwritten during import. To prevent overwriting, create a copy of the object to obtain an object with a new ID. |
[Load files from import directory] button | Click the button to load all configuration files (e.g. exported groups, data containers, endpoints) from the preset folder (default path: INFORMATION: Objects contained in the current program configuration (e.g. data containers and endpoints) with the same ID are overwritten during import. To prevent overwriting, create a copy of the object to obtain an object with a new ID. |
