Direction of rotation

Backstops are installed at SEW-EURODRIVE plants according to the order. This means that the direction of rotation for the output shaft must be specified. The customer must check whether the connected electric motor rotates in the correct direction of rotation. If not, the electric motor may damage the backstop.

The direction of rotation is specified as viewed onto the output shaft (LSS):

• CW = clockwise rotation
• CCW = counterclockwise rotation

The permitted direction of rotation [1] is indicated on the housing.
