DriveRadar®
DriveRadar® for industrial gear units enables users to plan maintenance and service work on a predictive basis and avoid undesirable downtime.
Selected condition monitoring processes are used to record all the operationally relevant mechanical parameters of our gear units on a cyclical basis. The data that is captured is then evaluated and interpreted using state-of-the-art analytical processes.
Continuously monitoring measurement data in this way provides complete transparency regarding the condition of gear units at all times. Furthermore, the analytical processes match irregularities directly to the affected components, reveal trends, and make it possible to predict when critical conditions are likely to arise. If the condition of a component changes, users are notified immediately. They are given initial recommendations and can then use our service offerings to take action in plenty of time.
Data acquisition
A uniform, specially selected and coordinated package of sensor technology records the gear unit's parameters and sends them to the EdgeProcessingUnit. The measuring technology comprises the following:
- Oil level sensor [1]
- Vibration sensor [2]
- Acceleration sensors [3]
- EdgeProcessingUnit [4]
- Oil temperature sensor [5]
- Ambient temperature sensor [6]
Data connection
The EdgeProcessingUnit records all sensor data, encrypts it and transmits the collated measured values to the SEW‑EURODRIVE data center.
Data linking
Using an OPC UA interface as standard also means local measurement data can be incorporated directly into the customer system. A change in color of a higher-level traffic light to yellow or red ("Overall Health Status") lets the user know when to take a look at the DriveRadar® IoT Suite.
