Gear units with reduced oil level

Observe the following procedure for gear units with splash lubrication and reduced oil level.

  1. Remove the oil fill plug [1].
  2. Slowly open the oil drain valve and drain 5 liters of oil.
  3. Fill the oil back in via the oil fill opening [2] before you start the gear unit.
  4. Re-insert the oil fill plug [1].
