Limit temperature for gear unit startup

The minimum permitted ambient temperature/oil temperature for gear unit startup depends on the viscosity of the oil used and the lubrication type of the gear unit.

Before startup, the oil may have to be heated to the specified "starting temperature" by an oil heater. Observe the information in the lubricant table:
