Password

Users of the IoT app authenticate to the product with their password. This ensures that only they can communicate with the product.

Note the following with regard to the password:

• Change the preset password to a password of your own choosing, as the preset password can be read out via the NFC interface.
• The password must be at least 8 characters long. It must contain at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one digit. Special characters are also permitted.
• Use a password that is as complex and/or as long as possible.
• Do not use words or parts of words from a dictionary as a password.
• Make sure that the password remains secret.
• Only share the password with persons who are permitted access to the product and the connected inverter.
• Secure the password at a location that only you have access to.
• We recommend that you save the password together with a user account in the SEW cloud. In this case, the password can be reset or restored. If you forget your password, you can no longer establish a connection to the product.
• If the password is entered incorrectly several times, password entry is blocked for an ever longer period of time (protection against "brute force" attacks on the password).
• If you wish to dispose of the product, reset the password to the preset password.
