The IT security of the product is only guaranteed when used in an environment secured by defense-in-depth strategies.

Ensure that clear responsibility for security is guaranteed during operation.

SEW‑EURODRIVE recommends the following safety precautions:

• Use an IT security management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 62443‑2‑4.
• Restrict access to the Bluetooth^® reception area to authorized personnel.
• Install barriers to keep unauthorized persons away from the Bluetooth^® reception area.
• In critical environments, install frequency filters in outdoor areas or boundary walls.
• Install a jammer detection system to prevent external interference.
