Selecting the braking resistor

Under normal operating conditions, energy that is produced in generator mode and cannot be buffered by the DC link is fed back into the supply system by the MDR60A-0150-.. regenerative power supply. Therefore, no braking resistor is required in normal operation. However, to ensure a controlled stopping of the system even in the event of a power failure or loss of the ready signal, SEW‑Eurodrive recommends equipping the most powerful inverter in the network with a braking resistor.
