Self-inhibit

If the MDR60A.. regenerative power supply is in idle state or only partially utilized, no regenerative energy will flow. The regenerative power supply automatically inhibits the regenerative path. This inhibit prevents a harmonic oscillating current between the DC link capacitor and the supply system and avoids a negative impact on the supply system quality. The ready signal remains in effect.

The automatic self-inhibit function is affected by the connected DC link capacity and the inductance of the supply system including the supply system cable. To ensure proper functioning, you must determine the maximum length of the supply system cable. For more information, refer to chapter Determining the maximum length of the supply system cable.
