Inhibiting the DC-AC inverter of the regenerative power supply
To keep the grid disturbances low, the regenerative power supply automatically inhibits the DC-AC inverter if there is no regenerative power flow. Using a DC 24 V signal at terminal X3:3 (inhibit), the DC-AC inverter can also be inhibited.
For the MDR60A.. regenerative power supply, the minimum inhibit time is 1.5 s. If the DC 24 V signal is active for < 1.5 s, the regenerative power supply remains inhibited for 1.5 s. Afterwards, the regenerative power supply is enabled again immediately when the inhibition is removed.
To prevent rapid switch-on and switch-off processes, a minimum power-on time of 40 ms applies.
The regenerative power supply still reports the "ready" operating state while inhibited. Take this into account for the sequence control of your vehicle.
The MDR60A.. regenerative power supply can be operated if the regenerative power supply is inhibited via the digital input and the regenerative energy is discharged via braking resistors (operation like a frequency inverter).
