Operation of the regenerative power supply
The supply and regenerative module and the axis modules are controlled by a MOVI-C® CONTROLLER. SEW-EURODRIVE recommends using the MOVIKIT® EnergyRecovery software module, which is included in the MOVIRUN® flexible software platform of the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER without a surcharge.
The functions of MOVIKIT® EnergyRecovery are as follows:
- Automatic parameterization of the MDR90B/MDR91B supply and regenerative module for operation on the SBusPLUS system bus and optionally on the higher-level fieldbus via the MOVISUITE® engineering software.
- Transfer of status information and measured values from the MDR90B/MDR91B supply and regenerative module to the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER.
- Control of function blocks (FCBs) of the MDR90B/MDR91B supply and regenerative module via the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER.
- Automatic connection of the MDR90B/MDR91B supply and regenerative module to the fieldbus and the provision of a fieldbus profile for control via a higher-level controller.
Startup, configuration, IEC programming, process data assignment and error management are described in the document "MOVIKIT® EnergyRecovery Manual".
If the MOVIKIT® EnergyRecovery module is not used, the supply and regenerative module can be controlled alternatively via process data or digital inputs.
