FCB concept

FCB = Function Control Block

The FCB concept describes the modular structure of MOVI‑C® devices. The FCB concept allows you to select and deselect functions of MOVI‑C® devices in a flexible manner.

All of the functions that control the energy flow are represented as individual FCBs. You can select these FCBs to perform a function, for example to control the voltage at the DC link of the inverter.

You can switch between the individual FCBs. The process of switching to another FCB has a maximum delay of 0.5 ms.

Different priorities are assigned to each FCB. If you select an FCB that has a higher priority than the currently active FCB, the FCB with the higher priority is activated.

An FCB can be activated by an internal function of the device, e.g. an error response.

The FCBs are listed below in order of priority. The highest priority is 1; as the number increases, the priority decreases.

  1. FCB 51 Output stage inhibit
  2. FCB 58 Supply and regenerative mode
  3. FCB 53 Hold precharge
