Fitting plastic covers

To achieve degree of protection IP20 according to EN 60529 with the following modules, plastic covers must be used to prevent the connections from being touched:

  • Power supply modules as of MDP90A-0500-.. (Size 3): Line connection X1, braking resistor connection X3
  • MDP92A-0250-.. power supply modules: Energy storage unit connection X4_B
  • DC/DC converter module MDE90A-0750-..: Connection for energy storage unit X13
  • Power supply modules with energy recovery, MDR91A-0500-.. and larger: Line connection X1, braking resistor connection X3
  • Axis modules as of MDA90A-0640-.. (Size 4): Motor connection X2

Proceed as follows:

  • The plastic covers are included in the accessory bag.
  • The ring lug is insulated with heat shrink tubing.
  1. When using cables with a large cross section, or if cables are laid in pairs, use diagonal cutting pliers to remove the template [1] from the plastic covers.
  2. Attach the plastic covers.
