1. Other software modules can use the energy coupling to check whether a fault is active in the system. (xExternalError = "TRUE")
2. Desired response of the axes: Emergency stop + output stage inhibit (but response can be application-specific)
3. Disconnection of the energy storage unit according to the following fulfilled criterion:
4. A parameterizable time has elapsed after the fault has occurred OR the connected axes report standstill. This allows for an emergency stop of the connected axes before the energy storage unit is disconnected from the device.
