DFC..9 / DSI..9 installation topology, with STO function, logic and power supply jumpered

The following figure shows the basic standard installation topology with MOVIMOT® performance ELV:

The logic supply and the power supply each permit a voltage range of DC 22 V – DC 59 V, so joint supply from a power supply unit with DC 48 V output voltage is possible. This corresponds to the nominal voltage of the power supply. Also observe point 5 regrading this.

The figure shows the assignment of the supply cable (connector X1650) when connected directly to MOVIMOT® performance ELV. The 4-core supply cable is connected to jumpers on the power supply unit. The cable cross section must be dimensioned according to the power supply unit and the load case of the drives.

The maximum permitted cable length of the Ethernet fieldbus cable between the drive units is 100 m. The maximum permitted cable length between controller and drive unit is 100 m. The permitted length might be less due to the technical data of the controller.

The maximum permitted length of the STO cable between the safety relay and the last drive unit is 100 m.

The supply topology shown is not suitable for UL-compliant installation, as a maximum supply voltage limit of 42 V applies to the logic supply according to UL 61800‑5‑1.
