ECO2 design

SEW‑EURODRIVE offers a design without surface coating for certain drives.

The powerful ECO2 gearmotors made from uncoated aluminum are ECOlogical thanks to their environmentally friendly coating-free design (no coatings or solvents on outer surfaces) and ECOnomical as a result of their cost-efficient manufacture and assembly. They are suitable for use in machines and systems in buildings and indoor spaces with a dry, neutral atmosphere.

The coating-free drives in the ECO2 design have significant environmental benefits. The energy-intensive painting process is not required when manufacturing the product. In addition, the consumption of raw materials such as paints and solvents is avoided. At the end of the life cycle, the uncoated components can be reused or recycled more easily and more environmentally friendly.
