Service factor f_B

The determination of the maximum permitted output torque M_amax and the resulting operating factor f_B = M_amax/M_a is not standardized and very much dependent on the manufacturer. With a service factor f_B = 1, the gear units from SEW-EURODRIVE offer a maximum of safety and reliability in the area of fatigue strength (exceptions: Low temperatures and wear of the worm gear with helical-worm gear units). The service factor might not be comparable to the specifications of other gear unit manufacturers. Contact SEW-EURODRIVE if necessary.
