Simulation

The fieldbus interface can be tested with simulated axes before the actual startup. When this takes place, it is possible to combine real axes and simulated axes. A prerequisite for the simulation is the use of a MOVI-C® CONTROLLER.

The following functions can be simulated:

  • All functions of the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiMotion
  • All functions of the MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController Torque & Skewing
    • 2 drives in one direction
    • Combined encoder evaluation

 

The following functions cannot be simulated:

  • Safety functions
  • Top drive
  • MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController add-on Cascading

 

The startup with simulated axes includes the following steps:

  1. Scan in accordance with the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER in startup mode.
  2. Switch to planning mode and prepare the project.
    • Add an inverter.
    • Add a drive train including external encoders.
    • Create the project.
    • Add software modules.
  3. Activate the simulation in the "Basic settings" configuration menu in MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiMotion.
  4. Switch to startup mode.
  5. Activate the fieldbus interface in the configuration of the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER.
  6. Generate an IEC Project.
  7. Import the MOVIKIT® fieldbus monitor.
  8. Login and download.
  9. Start the IEC program.
