Variable torque limiting Q1

The additional function "Variable torque limiting Q1" lets you specify the torque via the application in 0.1% × nominal motor torque. The torque is limited to the "Minimum torque" configured in the Torque limiting configuration menu. For fieldbus operation, the process data length is extended by two process data words.

For devices with FW 9 or later, torque limiting Q1 takes effect in the following drive functions:

  • FCB 05 Speed control (jog mode speed-controlled)
  • FCB 09 Position control (positioning mode)
  • FCB 10 Interpolated positioning control
  • FCB 12 Reference travel (referencing mode)

If the "Use torque limits from profile value connection" parameter is activated in the Torque limiting configuration menu, then torque limiting Q1 also takes effect in the following drive functions instead of the "Torque" configured in the Limit values configuration menu:

  • FCB 02 Stop default (no operating mode selected – value "0")
  • FCB 13 Stop at application limit (enable/application stop, fault response)
  • FCB 14 Emergency stop (enable/emergency stop, fault response)
  • FCB 26 Stop at user-defined limits (when changing the operating mode)

For devices with firmware older than FW 9, torque limiting Q1 takes effect in the following drive functions:

  • FCB 05 Speed control (jog mode speed-controlled)
  • FCB 09 Position control (positioning mode)
  • FCB 10 Interpolated positioning control

For the following drive functions, the torque limiting Q1 does not take effect, but rather the "Torque" configured in the Limit values configuration menu:

  • FCB 02 Stop default (no operating mode selected – value "0")
  • FCB 13 Stop at application limit (enable/application stop, fault response)
  • FCB 14 Emergency stop (enable/emergency stop, fault response)
  • FCB 26 Stop at user-defined limits (when changing the operating mode)
