Use of internal conveyor logic with PLC integration
Definition
The conveyor line is connected to a higher-level bus system that can influence the integrated conveyor logic of the fieldbus controller (interrupt commands).
PROFINET IO
In PROFINET IO, you can choose between the configuration types "standard configuration" and "plc configuration".
- "standard configuration"
- In "standard configuration", startup of a conveyor line is performed using auto configuration within the ECShell engineering software. Afterwards, the fieldbus controllers that are supposed to perform interrupt functions (such as accumulation) are integrated in the higher-level PLC.
- "plc configuration"
- In "plc configuration", the entire startup is performed in the PROFINET IO master. IP addresses and PROFINET device names can be freely selected.
For more information, refer to the "PROFINET IO Interface ECC-DFC" manual.
