Look Ahead

The Look Ahead function allows for switching between fast and slow speed using a zone sensor. The switching position of the Look Ahead function is variable and designed for an accumulation situation.

The following figure shows the operating principle:

Sv1	Track normal speed
Sv2	Track slow speed

Zone Z4 is jammed and the zone sensor S2 detects subsequent material to be conveyed (positive edge). The subsequent material is slowed down to speed v₂. If Z4 is still jammed, the material is stopped in zone Z3.
