Connecting axes or axis groups

All axes subordinate to the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane (single axes or MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController) must be connected to the power supply unit using the "energy coupling" function. If you are working in hoist mode, the connected software modules must be assigned the "hoist" application type.

INFORMATION

All axes connected to an energy storage unit must move within the same lifting range.

SRS project with MultiAxisController

If you are using MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the configuration of the lower-level MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiMotion axes.
  2. In the "Module configuration" > "Basic settings" configuration menu, activate "MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController" in the "Higher-level MOVIKIT®" section.
  3. Open the configuration of the higher-level MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController.
  4. In the "Module configuration" > "Basic settings" configuration menu, activate the "Energy coupling" function in the "Additional functions" section.
    • The "Energy coupling" configuration menu is displayed in the additional functions within the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController configuration.
  5. Open the Energy coupling configuration menu.
  6. Use the corresponding setting fields to specify the axis with the energy storage unit ("Name of power supply module") and the application type ("Standard" or "Hoist").
  7. Optionally, adjust the specifications in the "Motion parameters for reduced operation" section. These configured values are intended for use without an energy storage unit and are used if the energy storage unit is disconnected or if the charging voltage is too low (e.g. to move to a favorable position for maintenance and repair).

SRS project without MultiAxisController

If you are using MultiMotion axes without a higher-level MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the configuration of the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiMotion axes.
  2. In the "Module configuration" > "Basic settings" configuration menu, activate the "Energy coupling" function in the "Additional functions" section.
    • The "Energy coupling" configuration menu is displayed in the additional functions within the MOVIKIT® StackerCrane MultiAxisController configuration.
  3. Open the Energy coupling configuration menu.
  4. Use the corresponding setting fields to specify the axis with the energy storage unit ("Name of power supply module") and the application type ("Standard" or "Hoist").
