Device description file

A modified device description file can cause malfunctions in the device.

Do not change or expand entries in the device description file. SEW‑EURODRIVE assumes no liability for malfunctions of the device caused by a modified device description file.

A requirement for the proper device configuration with POWERLINK fieldbus interface is that the matching device description file (XDD file) is used in the engineering tool of the POWERLINK master. The file contains all the relevant data for engineering and for the data exchange of the device.

SEW‑EURODRIVE provides the following device description files for the inverters of the MOVI‑C^® modular automation system:

• For MOVIDRIVE^® technology: SEW-MOVI-C-MOVIDRIVE.xdd
• For MOVITRAC^® advanced: SEW-MOVI-C-MOVITRAC.xdd
• For decentralized inverters: SEW-MOVI-C-Decentralized-Electronics.xdd
