Device description file
INFORMATION
A modified device description file can cause malfunctions in the device.
Do not change or add to the entries in the device description file.
The correct configuration of the device with the PROFINET/PROFIsafe fieldbus interface requires the use of the matching device description file (GSDML file) in the engineering tool of the PROFINET/PROFIsafe controller. The file contains all relevant data for engineering and for the data exchange of the device.
The current version of the device description file is available on the website of SEW‑EURODRIVE. Search for "GSDML file" on the [Online Support] > [Data & documents] > [Software] page (http://go.sew/os/dud).
