• Determine the maximum speed taking account of the mass moment of inertia ratio J_ext / J_mot ≤ 30

• Effective torque demand at the average speed of the application (effective operating point).

M_eff ≤ M_{N_mot} at n_average

This operating point must lie below the characteristic curve for continuous torque to ensure thermal stability of the drive.
