With more complex motion sequences, an energy storage unit makes sense. The energy storage unit is integrated in the application and is carried along.

An energy storage unit is advantageous under the following conditions:

• No fixed building installation for the power supply of the mobile systems
• Complex movements
• Motion sequences that are not predefined
• Unforeseeable movements due to detours, faults, diverts
• Short trips outside the power supply
• Longer times without power supply/charging
