Prerequisites

Required hardware components:

• Engineering PC
• RJ45 to RJ45 Ethernet cable
• MOVI-C^® CONTROLLER
• RJ45 to M8 Ethernet cable
• SCM decentralized controller
• Motors according to chapter Modular motor and gear unit system
• Motor connection cable

Required software:

• MOVISUITE^® standard
• SCM Multipackage

The following prerequisites are required for startup:

• The device is mechanically and electrically installed in accordance with the regulations.
• There is an Ethernet connection between MOVI‑C^® CONTROLLER and engineering PC.
• There is an EtherCAT^® connection between MOVI-C^® CONTROLLER and the SCM.
• Safety measures prevent the device from starting up unintentionally.
• Safety measures prevent danger to people and machines.
