Requirements for the supply

The product can be supplied with power in various ways:

• Power supply directly via cable or sliding contacts
• MOVI‑DPS^® energy storage units and accumulators (short-term or long-term supply)
• MOVITRANS^® centralized contactless energy transfer system

Observe the following:

• Select the DC voltage range of the supply to match the technical data of the product.
• Configure the cables and fuses according to the intended application. When doing so, observe the applicable safety regulations and standards.
• For regenerative applications, use a suitable overcurrent protection device such as a brake chopper or a sufficiently large DC link buffer.
• The charge/discharge management function of the MOVI-DPS^® energy storage units and/or the accumulators
• The line protection of the product and/or the capacitors or accumulators
• The maximum current limit in the event of a short circuit
• The equipotential bonding of all automation components must be ensured.
• The regenerative energy during deceleration must be calculated correctly.

• Special case: several storage units on one supply
